In response to the blog questions this month of a decoration that 'just makes it feel' like the Holidays, this would be mine.
It's quite old....my grandmother had it when my mother was in high school and I am the lucky recipient on this family 'heirloom' made complete with pipe cleaners as the house trim ;) .... On the back it even states that it was made in Japan (not China). But as a child I remember this on the kitchen counter glowing in the darkness each evening during Christmastime. Now my children see this same wintertime scene each evening. Fun!

The Christmas tree and stockings
My mom, sister and I go a little nuts with Christmas cookies! :) Every year we have to make my Grandma V’s rolled sugar cookies, Grandma M’s spritz cookies and my molasses cookies. Oh, yeah, and the Christmas lefse….. It’s crazy, but it’s worth every delicious bite!!

well, my hubby wasn’t wanting to decorate or put our big tree up this year, but having a small tree in my son’s room did help it feel like the holidays! :) that & a little bit of garland outside!
